Launchlet
Terms of Use
Terms for using Launchlet, a local macOS menu-bar launcher.
Acceptance
By downloading or using Launchlet, you agree to use it responsibly and in accordance with these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
What Launchlet Does
Launchlet is a macOS utility that stores shortcuts for websites, apps, and folders, then opens them through macOS system APIs and the browser, app, or editor you choose.
Your Shortcuts and Actions
You are responsible for the shortcuts you create, the local paths you select, the websites you open, and the third-party apps you choose as openers.
Local Configuration
Launchlet stores its configuration on your Mac, including shortcut titles, URLs, app identifiers, folder paths, groups, preferences, and selected access bookmarks. Exported configuration files can contain URLs, paths, bundle identifiers, groups, and custom quick-access apps, so share them carefully.
Third-Party Services and Apps
When favicon loading is enabled, Launchlet may request website icons from Google, DuckDuckGo, and the target website. When you open a shortcut, the selected browser, app, editor, website, or operating system feature handles that action under its own terms.
Sandbox and Permissions
Launchlet runs in the macOS App Sandbox and uses system file pickers and security-scoped bookmarks for selected apps and folders. If an imported path needs access again, macOS may require you to reselect it.
No Warranty
Launchlet is provided as a utility without a guarantee that every shortcut, app, folder, browser, or imported configuration will work in every environment. Keep your own backups of important configuration.
Changes
These terms may be updated as Launchlet changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
